Anthony “Bryce” Elliott

Mr. Anthony Bryce Elliott, age 30, a resident of Roper, died Saturday Nov. 5, 2011, while he was preparing to do what he loved dearly, hunting, in Chowan County.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Davis Cemetery of Pantego, officiated by Eric Allen and Roland Bell.

Bryce was born in Chowan County on Feb. 4, 1981, the son of Wade Martin Elliott and Phyllis Ann Allen Elliott. He was a 1999 graduate of Northside High School and was a farmer. Bryce was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ.

Along with his love for hunting, God’s beautiful nature and farming, he had an even greater love for his children and family.

Surviving along with Bryce’s parents Wade and Phyllis of Roper are his children: Brent Elliott and Haley Elliott, both of Roper; a brother, Chad Elliott and his wife Jennifer of Pantego; the mother of Bryce’s children, the former Cameron Crystal Rose of Pantego; a maternal grandmother, Faye C. Allen of Pantego; a paternal grandmother, Natalie Elliott of Roper; nephews, Kain Elliott, Wade Thomas Elliott and Marshall Chase; and a niece, Taylor Chase. Bryce was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Billy Elliott, and his maternal grandfather, Felton Allen Sr.

The family will receive friends at the home of Bryce’s aunt and uncle, Karen and Roland Bell, Highway 99 North, Pantego.

Flowers are welcome and appreciated and the family kindly asks for any memorial contributions be made to the Brent and Haley Elliott Educational Fund, 535 North Slope Road, Roper, NC 27970.
