Linda Midgett Bright

Ms. Linda Midgett Bright, age 61, a resident of Shirley Farm Road, Pinetown, died Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2011, at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. A celebration of her life will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, Belhaven, officiated by pastor Allen Harmon with pastor Mary Owens assisting. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.

Linda was born on Nov. 8, 1949, in Norfolk, Va., the daughter of the late Warren Jerome Midgett and Margaret Cuthrell Midgett. She attended the Washington City Schools and was a member of First Assembly of God in Belhaven.

Survivors include her children, Martha Ann Wallace Snell of Vanceboro, Shelia Brinson Price of Jamesville, Robert “Bobby” Wallace of Pamlico County and Charles Wallace of Vanceboro; brothers, Donald Midgett of Rocky Mount, Anthony Midgett of Stafford, Va., and James Midgett of Manteo; a sister, Elaine Daniels of Manteo; nine grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Edward Jerome Midgett and Larry Lee Midgett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Linda’s honor to First Assembly of God, 765 U.S. Highway 264 Bypass, Belhaven, NC 27810.
