I came down from Virginia Beach for about a four-day trip. Your downtown is beautiful. I (considered eating) at a restaurant Saturday to help support the locals. I just wish your stores would stay open past noon.
In reference to the remark about the children in Smallwood playing in their yards instead of the roads, maybe the folks who don’t live in Smallwood need to take the long way around instead of cutting through the neighborhood. I’m sure they are upset anyway because the construction has messed up their shortcut.
Four-way stops in Smallwood are a great idea. Let’s get rid of the small-town feel and make it feel more like a city. Four-way stops on every corner, and then let’s put sidewalks on both sides of the street.
