Patricia H. Harris, age 64, a resident of Wilmington, and a native of Hawkins Beach, passed away on Nov. 25, 2011.

She was born in Washington on Sept. 10, 1947, to the late Harold and Naomi Hawkins.

Patricia was a remarkable and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cared more for the people she loved than herself.

She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert B. Harris Jr.; her two children, Patty Harris Steingold and Robert B. Harris III; five grandchildren, Taylor, Alexa, Abigail, and Jake Steingold, and Robert B. Harris IV; two sisters, Betty Blanton and Gail Kimball.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2011, at Coble Ward-Smith, Oleander Chapel, officiated by Pastor Joseph Peterson. A eulogy will be read by Katie Craig Phelps. A reception will follow after the service at the Coble Ward-Smith Reception Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lower Cape Fear Hospice, 1406 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401.
