Samuel Emmons Phelps Jr., 84, a resident of Plymouth, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Zions Chapel Church of Christ, Roper, with Mark Wilmoth officiating. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Zion’s Chapel Church of Christ, Roper, and other times at the residence. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
