The Beaufort County jail looks like a dungeon. I waited outside the building in line, in the cold, to go in. I had to hang my coat outside in the cold. I felt like a prisoner. The man checking us made me feel like a prisoner. Something needs to be done.

Modern, three-blade windmill electricity generators have blades up to 130 feet in length. At a controlled 22 rotations per minute, the blade tips are moving at approximately 200 mph — not a slow speed for a tundra swan.

Great job, Washington Daily News! It is good to see something in the paper besides the Turnage. A new jail is a great idea. Thank you, so much. We could have used the $500,000 that was wasted on the Turnage.
