John Roland MacGregor

John Roland MacGregor, age 85, a resident of Bridgeton, died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at home.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and he assisted in the rescue of his neighbors from the McCotter’s Marina fire in Washington earlier this year.

John is survived by his wife, Marianne MacGregor of Old Bethpage, N.Y.; his brother, Arthur MacGregor of Branchville, N.J.; one son, Kevin MacGregor and wife E.B. of Stockton, Calif.; three daughters, Janet MacGregor and husband Michael Nolan of Millersville, Pa., Diane Crociata and husband Patrick of Manorville, N.Y., Laura Lanning and husband Ron of Floral Park, N.Y., and seven grandchildren, Alex and Joanna Egan, Christopher and Lauren Crociata, Olivia, Alison and Erin Lanning.
