Gail Van Bodegraven Roelofs

Mrs. Gail Van Bodegraven Roelofs, age 70, a resident of 8734 N. Boyd Rd., Pinetown, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at her home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Roelofs was born in Columbia, Mo., on June 11, 1941, to the late Paul and Francis Hardesty Van Bodegraven. On Nov. 8, 1959, she married John Christian Roelofs Jr., who survives. She was employed as a rigger, nurse, EMT, Hospice, Police dispatcher and was a jailer for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department where she retired in 2003. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband John of the home; two daughters, Cynthia Jean Roelofs of Pinetown, Katherine Suggs and husband Garland of Greenville, S.C.; three sons, John C. Roelofs III and wife Rose of Fredericksburg, Va.; Ricky Roelofs and wife Gwen of Garner; Paul Roelofs and special friend Betty of Spring Hope; one sister, Paula Claypoole of Dayton, Nev.; ten grandchildren and four great–grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, David Van Bodegraven.
