FUQUAY-VARINA — Lillian Eva Hollowell, 17 months, passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. The funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 19, 2011 at Peace Presbyterian Church, 1777 West Chatham St., Cary, NC. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington, NC at 3:30 p.m.
“Lilly” was born on Independence Day, July 4, 2010. She proved to be a little fighter and was aptly named “Little Firecracker.” Due to a genetic condition called Trisomy 18, or Edwards Syndrome, she had heart damage and a very weak immune system. She got very sick and had to fight for her life a number of times. However, she was well more often than sick, and a very happy little girl. She loved her family and her daily routine. She was quick to smile, very content, and loved life. Lilly blessed countless lives and touched many hearts. We are all better people because of Lilly. We rejoice that she is now in the arms of Jesus.
Lilly was predeceased in eternal life by her grandfather, Frank Hunter Hollowell, Sr.
Lilly is survived by her parents, Frank Hunter and Lisa Halbrook Hollowell Jr., of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Tabitha Jade Hollowell and her brother, Frank Hunter Hollowell III of the home; grandparents Virginia Dare Hollowell of Long Acre, NC, Marsha Norris and husband, James of Fuquay-Varina, NC, and Stephen Halbrook and wife Brenda of Fairfax, VA.
The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 18 at Thomas Funeral Home, 401 N. Ennis St., Fuquay-Varina, NC.
Flowers or donations are appreciated. Donations for Lilly’s medical expenses may be made by check to “Christ’s Church of Cary” and mailed to P.O. Box 1034, Cary, NC 27512.
