The Beaufort County Concert Association’s season continues with the comedy troupe The Water Coolers.
This New York-based group will offer its look into the world of adulthood at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 10 at the Washington High School Performing Arts Center. For more information, visit the concert association’s website at http://www.gobcca.org.
The Water Coolers debuted in New York in 2000 and opened off-Broadway in fall 2002. Originally created as a comedy act for corporate meetings, the move to theater was inevitable, according to the presenters.
The show takes a long, laughing look at modern life, from technology (“Blackberry” sung to the tune of “Proud Mary”) and travel (“Flying in Economy”) to the daily grind (“And Hold Please”).
Beaufort County Concert Association was formed in 1976 to encourage the appreciation of good music. BCCA is an all-volunteer organization committed to building and maintaining a permanent concert audience for live performance in Beaufort, Hyde, Pitt, Pamlico and Martin counties and presenting internationally acclaimed artists at family friendly, affordable prices.
