Mr. Alton Hedgebeth, 48, a resident of 57 Faye Road, Roper, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at Roanoke Landing Nursing Home and Rehab Center, Plymouth. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ) with Vice-Bishop Daniel Gilliam officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Memorial Garden Cemetery. The family received friends Thursday, and at other times from the home of his sister Valerie Jackson, 177 Griffin Lane, Roper. Arrangements are by Toodle’s Funeral Home, Plymouth.
