Angela “Angie” Bonita Riggs

Angela “Angie” Bonita Riggs, age 48, a resident of Bradley Lane, Washington, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at UHS Inpatient Hospice, Greenville. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Alligood Church of God, officiated by Phillip Jethro and Allen Mills. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service in the church.

Angie was born on Oct. 7, 1963, in Portsmouth, Va., daughter of James K. Riggs and Sarah Clarke Manning. She worked for Bill’s Hotdog for 20 years and most recently Bojangles of Washington. She attended Alligood Church of God. Angie will be remembered as a loving mother and homemaker.

In addition to her mother and father, survivors include her son, William J. Bryant and wife Jamie of Bear Grass; daughter, Victoria Laura Silverthorne of Washington; four sisters, Debra R. Cannon of Chocowinity, Kimberly Riggs Bundy of Farmville, Tina M. Little of Robersonville, and Tamatha E. Boseman of Stocks; a special brother-in-law, James Cannon of Chocowinity; stepmother, Brenda Riggs of Spring Hope; niece, Felicia D. Cannon of Chocowinity; nephew, Roger Riggs and wife Rebecca of Washington; her special great-nephew, Jacob Cannon of Chocowinity; and special great-niece, Gabbie Cannon of Chocowinity.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that all donations be made to Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington, NC 27889.
