Fannie Adams Moore

Mrs. Fannie Adams Moore, age 81, a resident of the Bayview community, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at her home. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Bath Christian Church at the Columbarium Garden, officiated by Rev. Curtis White. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. tonight at the home of Mrs. Moore’s sister, Margaret Midyette, 6693 N.C. Highway 92 East, Bath.

Mrs. Moore was born on Jan. 25, 1930, in Bath, the daughter of the late Augustus Adams and Vonnie “Bonnie” Arnold Adams. She graduated from Bath High School. Mrs. Moore was a retired bookkeeper with Pamlico Motors of Washington. On March 6, 1956, she married Willie “Billy” Gray Moore Jr., who survives. She was a member of Bath Christian Church and a lifelong resident of Bath. Mrs. Moore will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother and homemaker.

In addition to her husband, Billy, survivors include her daughter, Patricia Ann Moore and husband Scott Brown of Bath; brother, Augustus “Dick” Adams and wife Diane of Bath; sisters, Margaret Midyette and Rebecca “Becky” Tuten, both of Bath; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, in memory of Mrs. Fannie, the family has requested that you pay a visit to a homebound person or make a donation to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, 1209 Brown St., Washington, NC  27889.
