Peggy Elizabeth Griffin Ormond, 79, a resident of New Bern, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, at CarolinaEast Medical Center. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cotten Chapel with the Rev. Mike Register officiating. Burial will follow at New Bern Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service and at other times at her home. Arrangements are by Cotten Funeral Home.
