Dallas Emanuel Bateman, 90, a resident of 3073 Soundside Road, Columbia, died Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, in the Skilled Care Facility at Chowan Hospital, Edenton. A funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Soundside Missionary Baptist Church with Dr. Jeff Crabtree, pastor, and the Rev. Joe Wynns officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Bryan Funeral Service, Columbia Chapel, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. tonight. Arrangements are by Bryan Funeral Service.
