Mary Gordon Modlin

Mary Gordon Modlin, 44, a resident of 2930 Camp Leach Road, Washington, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at 15th Street Church of God in Washington, officiated by Servant Mike Huppmann.
Mary was born Aug. 20, 1967, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of the late Roy Francis Gordon and Lola Jane Phillips Gordon. She graduated from Anderson High School in Clinton, Tenn. Mary married the love of her life Frankie Modlin on Feb. 14, 1991. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse, receiving her degree from Beaufort County Community College. Mary worked with Pungo District Hospital in Belhaven. If she wasn’t riding her Harley she was spending time with her cats or taking care of her garden.
She is survived by her husband, Frankie Modlin of the home; four brothers, Roy Francis Gordon Jr. of Cumberland, Md.; Walter Gordon of Sylvester, Ga.; James L. Gordon of Gastonia, and Marshall Gordon of Washington; and two nephews, Mitchell Alexander Gordon and Jordan Matthew Gordon.
