Nellie Credle Bullock

Nellie Credle Bullock, age 90, a resident of 213 E. Seventh St., Washington, died Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2012, at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at the First Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Craig Hagen. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The following will serve as pallbearers: Hardy Ray Corey Jr., Chris Corey, Trey Corey, Hunter Corey, Mike Pishnock and Buddy Pishnock. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour and other times at the home of her daughter, Lois Corey located at 209 E. Seventh St., Washington.

Mrs. Bullock was born in Beaufort County July 29, 1921, the daughter of the late James H. Credle and Florence Ross Credle. She was a graduate of Bath High School. Mrs. Bullock worked with Samsons Shirt Factory for 25 years. She was a member of St. Clair’s Church of Christ in Bath.

Mrs. Bullock is survived by one daughter, Lois Ormond Corey and husband, Hardy Ray, of Washington; one son, Barry Wayne Ormond of Washington; one brother, Floyd Credle of Chesapeake, Va.; a sister, Ann Pishnock of Bath; two grandchildren, Hardy Corey Jr. and wife, Amy; Christopher Corey and wife, Michelle; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Corey, Carlee Corey, Trey Corey and Harrison Corey. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ben Ormond, her second husband, Jasper Bullock, a son, Gerald Ormond, four brothers and two sisters.
