William “Bill” Benjamin Langley

William “Bill” Benjamin Langley, 64, a resident of Greenville, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today in Pinewood Memorial Park.
Mr. Langley was a native of Pitt County and was a graduate of Stokes-Pactolus High School. After high school graduation, he attended Pitt Community College. In May 1967, he enlisted into the United States Air Force and served on active duty for 23 years and was a successful Senior Listed Administrator. For several years he worked as a helper in the construction industry with Mr. George Cherry. He was employed for 14 years with the Greenville Wal-Mart Supercenter, ten years in the layaway department and then as a front-end cashier and customer service clerk.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Moses and Corinne Smith Langley. He is survived by his loving partner and companion of 13 years, Bill Dickerson; daughter, Martha Corinne Langley of Washington; and sisters, Leckie Langley and Anita Langley both of Pactolus.
The family received friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home Monday and other times at the home of his sisters in Pactolus.
