Audrey Dare Satterthwaite Schill

Audrey Dare Satterthwaite Schill, 78, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012, at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital. A native of North Carolina, she was a southern firecracker with a witty sense of humor, always being spontaneous and adventurous, she enjoyed singing, dancing, fashion, decorating, crotcheting, and she was known for her fudge and fried chicken. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and generously gave them her time and her love. She attended New Life at Virginia Beach Church. She was one of 12 siblings.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and one son, Buenaventura Edgar Manton Satterthwaite. She is survived by one son, Henry Davis Satterthwaite; three daughters, Minnie Helen Tucker (Mike), Terese Aleta Ann Woolard (Larry), and Audrey Dare Kamanuwai (Matthew); nine grandchildren, Apana Jackson, Shannon Kamanuwai, Erik Tucker, A.J. Tucker, Carolyn Tucker, Casey Tucker, Brandon Tucker, Jeffrey Satterthwaite, and Lisa Satterthwaite; three great-grandchildren, Kai’a Jackson, Audrey Mae Jackson, and David Allen Wallace; six siblings, Betty Everette, Jackie Mullen, Brenda Humphrey, Polly Gurganus, Ted Brooks and Dan Brooks; one maternal aunt, Alva McPherson.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Life at Virginia Beach Church, 149 Business Park Drive, Virginia Beach, Va.
