Students in Jessica Crocker’s third-grade class at John Cotten Tayloe Elementary School have been learning about volcanoes.

They completed intense research in which they found out the cause of volcano eruptions and the names of several famous volcanoes. The students learned “volcano vocabulary” that helped them to understand the information they found. After researching volcanoes, the students created lap books about volcanoes. These books are made with file folders and contain information and activities concerning volcanoes.
