A press release from the sheriff’s office stated that after investigation, Investigator Wesley Waters obtained warrants charging Robert Manley Narron, 22, a resident of Jordan Narron Road, Selma, and Tracey Matthew Narron, 38, a resident of Creech’s Church Road, Kenly, with one count each of common law robbery and one count each of larceny of a dog. Robert Narron was arrested by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office on March 6; Tracey Narron on March 7. Both were held in the Johnston County Detention Center on a $50,000 secured bond.

The victim, according to Major Kenneth Watson of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, had “minor injuries, nothing that required medical treatment. I think she was shaken and startled by the encounter.”

The stolen dog, “a hound dog similar to the type used for hunting,” was recovered and returned to the victim.
