Committee seeks church stories

The Beaufort County Tricentennial Committee is seeking input from all religious congregations in Beaufort County as an important source for the history and story of the county over the past 300 years (1712-2012).

While all churches have not been here for 300 years, all have shaped the character of the county’s residents and have special stories to tell. Each church is asked to provide its story on 8 1/2-inch-by-11-inch-page format to be placed in a resource notebook in the Beaufort County manager’s office at 121 W. Third St., Washington (randell.woodruff@co.beaufort.nc.us).

Any photographs submitted should be copies that do not have to be returned to the church submitting the copies.
