Leonard L. Liverman

Mr. Leonard Lee Liverman, 78, a resident of 193 Foreman Lane, Belhaven, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at his home.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
Mr. Liverman was born in Beaufort County on Nov. 8, 1933, son of the late William Daniel Liverman and the late Annie Lyle Paul Liverman. He was a graduate of John A. Wilkinson High School in Belhaven and served his country in the U.S. Air Force. After completing his service in the Air Force, Mr. Liverman attended East Carolina University. He was a self-employed building contractor. Mr. Liverman was a member of Red Brinson Washington Memorial Post 6088 Veterans of Foreign Wars and Disabled American Veterans, Washington Chapter 48. He loved baseball and had played in the minor leagues.
Mr. Liverman is survived by two sons: William Liverman of Spring Valley, Calif., and James Liverman of San Diego, Calif., and three sisters: Linda Pounds of Raleigh, Shirley O’Neal and husband Bud of Belhaven, and Marlene Cuthrell of Kernersville. He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Riley.
