Six students in Angie Lewis’ third-grade class at John Cotten Tayloe Elementary School entered the Wetlands are Wonderful poster contest.

The students submitted poster designs with original artwork to the Beaufort Soil and Water Conservation District. It sponsors this event each year. It will give $25 to the first-place winner, $20 for second place and provide a chance for winners to compete at the state level for recognition by the N.C. Association of  Soil and Water Conservation District. The students also received extra credit in science for their hard work.
