Gallery to host student exhibit

Slatestone Studio, a working clay studio, will host an exhibit of pottery artwork by adult pottery students at River Walk Gallery and Arts Center during the month of April. “Pinch, Coil, Slab, and Throw” is the name of this display, representing most of the artists currently working at the studio.
“This is an excellent representation of the artwork produced in our studio. The students are all here to learn, and displaying their artwork is one of the lessons. It takes real guts to put your heart out there for the community to see, and I’m proud of the students and their artwork,” said Carolyn R. Sleeper, owner/artist of Slatestone Studio.
A reception for the community and artists will be held from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday at River Walk Gallery and Arts Center, 139 W. Main St., Washington. The gallery is open Mondays through Saturdays, 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
