Samuel Lee “Sam” Liles, 50, a resident of 1218 Pamlico St., Washington and formerly of Brooklyn, Ohio, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be held Friday, June 1, at Holy Cross Cemetery in Cleveland, Ohio.

Mr. Liles was born in Lorain County, Ohio, on Dec. 27, 1961, to the late Samuel and Janet McCleese. He attended Second Baptist Church of Washington.

Survivors include one brother, Joe Cook of Lakewood, Ohio, and six sisters, Sharon Liles of Brookpark, Ohio, Shirley Kulyan and husband John of Lakewood, Ohio, Sheila Cadmus and husband Howard of Washington, N.C., Kay Liles of Middleburg Heights, Ohio, Laurie Ryba of Palm Bay, Fla., and Michelle Palkovic and husband Michael of Middleburg Heights, Ohio.
