Joseph Leo Melvin, 52, of Elizabeth City, died Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Elizabeth City. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Maitland Funeral Home in Plymouth with the Rev. Frank Alexander officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his daughter, Melissa Peterson in Hertford. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth.
