Mrs. Dorothy Rae Clark Gaskins, 86, a resident of Vanceboro, died Thursday, April 26, 2012.

A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Gaskins, a native of Craven County, lived all her life in the Vanceboro community. She was a member of the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Vanceboro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Sue Gaskins Clark; infant son, Clark Gaskins; and her husband, Winford Gaskins.

She is survived by her sons, Jerry Lee Gaskins of Short Hills, N.J., and Perry Gaskins of Vanceboro, and a grandson, Christopher Gaskins of Winston-Salem.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.
