Election results on the fly

The Washington Daily News will be expanding its coverage for Tuesday’s primary elections into the world of social media.
From the Beaufort County Board of Elections, the newspaper’s reporters will be giving up-to-the-minute election results and candidate reaction on the WDN website, Facebook and Twitter.
Most know that our website is www.wdnweb.com. Linking to Facebook and Twitter is easy from there. At the top of the homepage, find the “Services” link in the navigation menu under the Washington Daily News banner. When the dropdown menu appears, follow the links to our “Facebook Fanpage” and “Twitter Feed.” On our Facebook page, click the “Like” button to have our updates post to your Facebook newsfeed. On Twitter, click the “Follow” button. Both ways you’ll be able to get Tuesday’s election results as they come in.
The Washington Daily News will, as always, print election news in Wednesday’s paper, but if you’re of a mind to get the information electronically, and quickly, we’ll have it available for the public as it happens.
That said, we encourage all to join us online, but we encourage you to exercise your right to vote more.
