Washington police, armed with outstanding warrants, arrested Ellis Arnell Mcclees, 35, of Wanda Lane in Greenville, on drug charges.
“One of our guys made contact with him,” said Lt. William Chrismon of the Washington Police Department. “(Mcclees) was served papers at the police department.”
Mcclees turned himself in to police on May 8 and was charged with two counts of trafficking in opium, possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. According to Chrismon, parties involved in the investigation made controlled drug buys from Mcclees. Mcclees was placed in Beaufort County Detention Center with a $25,000 secured bond pending trial.
