Neva P. Woolard

Ms. Neva Pearl Woolard, 71, a resident of the Caswell Developmental Center in Kinston, died Monday, May 7, 2012.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Alligood Church of God and will be conducted by Pastor Phillip Jethro and Pastor Allen Ham. Burial will follow in the Woolard family cemetery. Ellis Cullipher, Jonathan Cullipher, Jeffrey Woolard, Christopher Woolard, Paul Alligood, Ronnie Sauls and David Woolard will serve as pallbearers. Richie Alligood and Wayland Alligood will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Ms. Woolard was born in Beaufort County on July 13, 1940, to the late Ellis Edward Woolard Sr. and Elnora Woolard. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Lillie Bell Woolard and one sister, Rachal Woolard.
Survivors include three brothers, R. Frayle Woolard and wife Diana, Ellis “Bill” Woolard and wife Linda, and Gerald Woolard and wife Teresa, all of Washington; two sisters, Martha Gurganus and husband Dwayne of Bath and Annie Ruth Cullipher and husband Gene of Washington; one aunt, Margaret Alligood of Washington and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. today at the Alligood Church of God and other times at the home of R. Frayle and Diana Woolard, 2141 Terrapin Track Road, Washington.
Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made to the Caswell Developmental Center, Chapel Fund, 2415 W. Vernon Ave., Kinston, NC 28504.
