WIMCO gets contracts

WIMCO Corp. was awarded the construction contract for the Greene residence hall plaza landscaping at East Carolina University. The project consists of the demolition and reconstruction of walks, steps, walls, trees and plantings with additional landscaping of trees, shrubs and sod.

The project will be completed in August.

WIMCO’s project manager is Bryan Smith of Greenville, a graduate of East Carolina University, where he received a bachelor-of-science degree in construction management. WIMCO’s on-site superintendent is Josh Edding, a 2008 graduate of UNC–Wilmington. He lives in Grimesland.

WIMCO was recently awarded the construction contract for a new Walgreens located at 700 Catherine Road, Ahoskie. This is the 34th Walgreens constructed by WIMCO. Expected completion of the store is Sept. 15.

Managing the project for WIMCO are project manager Matt Hill and superintendent Donald Bundy. Hill is a graduate of the ECU with a bachelor-of-science degree in construction management and a LEED accredited professional. Hill lives in Greenville. Bundy is senior superintendent for WIMCO.  He has been with the company since 1987. He lives in Washington.

WIMCO was recently awarded the construction contract for the facility improvements to Phelps Chevrolet in Greenville.

Improvements consist of new service-drive canopy construction, complete renovation of the existing showroom and office and exterior improvements that include storefront replacement. The project has an expected completion date of Aug. 17.

Brad Makepeace will be the project manager. He is a graduate of the ECU with a bachelor-of-science degree in construction management. He lives in Simpson. Brett Grant of Greenville will be the field superintendent. He is a graduate of N.C. State University with a bachelor-of-science degree in civil engineering.
