I see they’re cutting down the trees in front of that rundown trailer park on U.S. Highway 264. I think they should leave them up. Anything you do to hide the trailer park would be for the better. Maybe we should pass a law that all trailer parks should be hidden away, either by a privacy fence, trees or bushes.
I wish the City Council would take us out of the ETJ because everybody I’ve spoken with, because I live here, does not want to be in it to begin with. Please, City Council, take us out.
I’m calling in reference to the person who’s embarrassed to be a North Carolinian. My answer to that person is: if he or she is embarrassed to live in North Carolina, move.
Strange how the City Council could find funding to give to the county, which will give the money to a private company for economic development. One would think that our city and county leaders would have learned their lesson from their previous attempts at economic development. If the city has so much fat in its operating budget, why not reduce city taxes?
