Festival Park hosts PraiseFest 2012

A festive gathering featuring live bands, dancing, and prayer will be held on the Washington waterfront Saturday, June 23. The regional event is presented by a multidenominational group of local volunteers and is open to all who celebrate the word of Jesus Christ.

Kent and Bev Mattox, missionaries who’ve preached the Gospel in more than 60 countries through their organization Word Alive International Outreach, are featured speakers and musical guests include the River City Praise Band from River City Christian Center on River Road, Washington. Also in the lineup are Divine Obsession and 6:22 Ministries, both contemporary Christian rock groups out of Greenville.

PraiseFest 2012 will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Festival Park in Washington. Organizers encourage those attending to bring your own chair, food and drinks. Prayer, however, will be provided.
