Carlene Edmonds Edmondson, 82, a resident of Hamilton, died Saturday, May 26, 2012. The funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Williamston with the Rev. Wayne Edmondson and the Rev. Dallas Gurganus officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Cemetery.

Mrs. Edmondson was born in Pitt County on May 10, 1930, daughter of the late Robert and Nancy Hall Edmonds. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hamilton Baptist Church. On July 16, 1948, she married Julius Earl Edmondson who preceded her in death on Sept. 8, 2011. Survivors are a daughter, Susie Aman and husband Rusty of Wilmington; sons, Sammy Edmondson and wife Faye of Blounts Creek, Jimmy Edmondson of Harrisburg, Pa., and Gary Edmondson and wife Ellen of Robersonville; sisters, Deanie Edmondson and husband Harold of Hamilton, Ann Williams of Williamston, Reatha Keck of Wichita Falls, Tex., and Janie Brown and husband Collin of Franklin, Va.; brothers, Bill Edmonds and wife Erma of Norfolk, Va., and Wiley Edmonds of Williamston; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at home of Gary Edmondson, 3500 Claude Green Road, Robersonville.
