Louis Marvin Spear, 89, a resident of Roper died Thursday, June 21, 2012, at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Scuppernong Church of Christ, Creswell with Cleve Edwards and Russell Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at Scuppernong Church of Christ. Arrangements are by Maitland Funeral Home, Creswell.
