A domestic dispute in progress led to warrants issued for the arrest of a known sex offender, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

On the morning of May 5, deputies were called to South Harding Village Road, Washington. Investigation revealed that Clarence Kevin Thigpen, 46, formerly of Tranters Creek Drive, Washington, was residing at a different address than that listed in the offender registry, said the release.

Warrants for failure to notify change of address and residing within 1000 feet of educational property have been issued for Thigpen. He is currently at large.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office at 252-946-7111 or Beaufort County Crime Stoppers at 252-974-6400. Crime Stoppers will pay up to a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest.
