Ms. Rena Everton Topping Robinson, 77, a resident of 9096 N.C. Highway 99 North, Pantego, died Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. today at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
Funeral services will be private.
Ms. Robinson was born in Beaufort County on May 3, 1935, daughter of the late Marvin Orlando Scott Topping and Miriam Shavender Topping. She worked as a medical technologist for several years. Ms. Robinson was an avid reader and had a love for cooking.
Ms. Robinson is survived by her children, Sherri Robinson of Raleigh, Scott Robinson of Edgewater, Fla., and Chris Robinson and his wife Missy of Belhaven; her longtime com    panion, James Paul Allen of Pantego; a sister, Tony Bell Wobig and her husband Jay of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren, Hope Robinson, Christian Robinson and Madison Robinson, all of Belhaven, and two nephews, Dean and Todd Wobig, both of Virginia Beach, Va.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorials be made to the Pantego Ye Olde Academy Museum, c/o William R. Baynor, 975 Daw Road, Pantego, NC 27860.
