Mrs. Evelyn Smith Lilley, age 89, a resident of 125 Waterford Place, Washington, died Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at Ridgewood Nursing Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wayside Presbyterian Church of Chocowinity officiated by the Rev. Ola Forbes Jr.
Mrs. Lilley was born in Beaufort County on May 31, 1923, daughter of the late George Washington Smith and the late Thelma Bennett Smith. She was a homemaker and the oldest living member of Wayside Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Lilley is survived by two daughters: Pat Moore and her husband Jack of Blounts Creek and Pam McCrea and her husband Ron of Greenville; a sister: Joyce Woolard of Morganton, N.C.; a brother: Delma Smith and his wife Mary of Chocowinity and a sister-in-law: Reba Smith of Chocowinity. Mrs. Lilley was predeceased by two sons: Keith Lilley and Johnny Lilley; a sister: Lois Godley; two brothers: Otha Smith and Doc Smith and two brothers-in law: Dennis Woolard and Max Godley.
The family will receive friends following the memorial service Thursday at Wayside Presbyterian Church.
