Mr. Richard R. Riepe, a resident of Washington, NC, died Saturday, August 11, 2012, at River Trace Nursing & Rehabilitation Center of Washington, NC.
Mr. Riepe or “Mr. Richard”, as he was affectionately known, was born in Iowa on June 23, 1932, to the late Ernest A. and Inez Elliott Riepe. He was a graduate of California Western University in San Diego, CA. Mr. Riepe was married to Sadie Brooks Riepe of Washington, who survives. Mr. Riepe worked for numerous companies in California before moving to Washington. After moving to Washington, Mr. Riepe worked as a detention officer for the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Department and also worked as a Funeral Service Assistant at Paul Funeral Home.
In addition to his wife Sadie, of the home, Mr. Riepe is survived by two daughters, Valerie Lowe and Michelle Johnson Desmand, both of Tehachapi, California.
