Thomas Wayne Hardee, 75, of Greenville, died Thursday, August 16, 2012.
A graveside service will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery.
Mr. Hardee, a native and lifelong resident of the Eastern Pines community of Pitt County, was a graduate of Greenville High School and had attended Oak Ridge Military Academy.  He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and was retired from the N.C. Department of Transportation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Thomas and Annie Ruth Cox Hardee.
He is survived by his brother, Thurman Ray Hardee and wife, Connie, of Chocowinity; niece, Melanie Hardee White and husband, Eddie, of Greenville; nephew, Jason Ray Hardee and wife, Jill, of Black Jack; great-niece, Kinsley Tate White; and great-nephews, Braeden White, Kyle Hardee and Blake Hardee.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
