When a local bail bondsman surrendered a Greenville man at the Beaufort County Magistrates’ Office for a bond revocation, further charges were added when prescription drugs were found during the intake process, according to a press release from the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.

Detention officers at the Beaufort County jail found prescription pain pills in both Fredrick Clark Jr.’s sock, as well as in a separate bag, said Maj. Kenneth Watson, spokesman for the sheriff’s office.

Clark was charged with trafficking in opium or heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia and held on an additional $15,000 secured bond.

According to Watson, the bond revocation concerned a prior, similar drug charge.
