SOUND OFF, Sept. 5

Sound Off highlights anonymous, brief takes on the news offered via telephone by Daily News readers.

In answer to the person who thinks something should be done about the gorgeous mallards and other mixed ducks and huge geese crossing the street on Park Street: these are all God’s creatures and deserve their freedom as much as anyone. It does not take much to make some people happy, such as I, and feeding these beautiful creatures of God is one of them. I had much rather have to stop and wait and watch the little fellas and gals and their babies crossing the road to get a special treat than to be stuck in traffic for who knows how long. This stop should make you think of how much God loves all his children that he would put such beautiful creatures on this earth for us to enjoy. If you feel that this is longer than you can wait, for a few minutes for the ducks to get a special treat, then please consider taking another route if you think you might get caught up in this situation again. It really happens so seldom and brings much pleasure to others to feed them. God bless you.
