Mr. Jesse Ray Norman, age 58, a resident of Aurora, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center of Greenville.

A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, officiated by Rev. John Carawan.

Mr. Jesse was born in Beaufort County on Aug. 2, 1954, son of the late Clyde Heber Norman and the late Mary Martha Rowe Norman. He married the former Alice Mae Beddard on March 14, 1980.  Mr. Jesse was employed for over 20 years at Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex in Washington as Plastics Technician.

Surviving along with Mr. Jesse’s wife of 32 years, Alice, of the home is a daughter: Robina Norman of Aurora; two sisters: Sally Adams of New Bern and Verda Phelps and her husband Wilbur of Franklinton: one brother: John Norman Sr. of Murray; four nieces, four nephews, eight great-nieces and eight great-nephews. Mr. Jesse was predeceased by his parents; one brother; two sisters: Alice Spears and Elizabeth Koonce.

The family will receive friends following the service Monday at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington.
