Alice Waters Sullivan

Mrs. Alice Waters Sullivan, age  91, a resident of 14219 Hwy 264 East, Pinetown, died Monday morning, September 10, 2012, at River Trace Nursing Home in Washington.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home in Washington officiated by Arthur “Bud” Ball. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens. John Daugherty, Edward Boyd, Larry Sullivan, Lester Sullivan, Bobby Skinner and Jay Waters will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sullivan was born in Beaufort County on March 29, 1921, daughter of the late Leonard V. Waters and Parthenia Singleton Waters. On April 11, 1942, she married William Henry Sullivan who preceded her in death on January 8, 2003. Mrs. Sullivan was a homemaker and a member of Hunter’s Bridge Church of Christ. She loved crocheting, knitting and cross-stitching and gave most of her sewing projects as gifts.
She is survived by her son: William “Billy” Bryan Sullivan and wife Peggy of Pinetown and her grandchildren: Taylor Sullivan of Pinetown and Brittany Sullivan of Norristown, PA. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Bennie Waters, Elmer Waters and Leonard Waters and her sisters: Belva Boyd, Mary Paul and Clara Boyd.
The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45 PM prior to the service on Wednesday at Paul Funeral Home in Washington.
