Edward Theodore Zulkofske, 84, of Chocowinity, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Hospice House Woodside in Pinellas Park, FL. He was born in New Hyde Park, NY, and moved to Chocowinity, NC, in 1995 from Long Island, NY.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Edward made a career as mechanical engineer in the Army Corp of Engineers. He loved woodcarving, being on the water and fishing, and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Stella. He is survived by his wife, Marion; daughters, Mary Guzwicus of St. Petersburg, FL, Faye McCurry of New Bern, NC and Patricia Deltosta of Meriden, CT; and four grandchildren.
On Friday, September 28, 2012, at 11:00 AM services will be held at the Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Washington, NC.
