Logan Nyal Womble, III, 67, of Plymouth died Sunday, September 30, 2012, at Washington County Hospital in Plymouth.
Born April 16, 1945, in Nash County, he was the son of the late Logan Nyal Womble, Jr. and Edith Robertson Womble and was preceded in death by his son, Logan Nyal Womble, IV. Logan was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. He was a pharmacist and co-owner of Wombles Drug Store until his retirement. He was a member of First Christian Church and attended Plymouth United Methodist Church.
His family includes his wife, Mildred Keel “Millie” Womble of Plymouth, N.C.; daughters, Jennifer Womble Cobb and husband Chad of Edenton, N.C. and Kathryn Brooke Womble of Greenville, N.C.; sister, Nyal Womble Watson and husband Larry of Plymouth, N.C.; brother, Ed Womble of Plymouth, N.C.; grandchildren, Molly Cobb, Myles Cobb and Sarah Logan Cobb.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, Plymouth with Dr. Jay Clark officiating. Burial will follow at the Plymouth United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Maitland Funeral Home, Plymouth and other times at the residence.
