Joseph “Joe” Jenkins, 85, a resident of 18929 N.C. Highway 33, Edward, died Monday, October 8, 2012, at Carolina East Medical Center. A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, in the New Bern Eastern Missionary Baptist Association Headquarters, 855 N.C. Highway 306 S., Grantsboro. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 12, at St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church, 19061 N.C. Highway 33 E., Edward, and other times at the home.
