David Allen Minton, 46, of Chocowinity, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2012.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday at 3 p.m. at Pinewood Memorial Park, Greenville.
David was born December 4, 1965, in Milton, Florida and named after his grandfather, Goodman David Minton. He was a 1984 graduate of J.H. Rose High School and attended Pitt and Beaufort Community Colleges. His most recent work experiences were with F. Ray Moore Oil Company, Jenkins Oil Company, and Family Dollar Stores. David was a good husband and father. He loved his children very much and was so proud of the most recent addition to the family, Stayton, his two-month-old son.
He is survived by his parents, Gerald and Jean Minton; his wife, Priscilla Minton; children, Samantha, Brooklynn, and Stayton Minton, Bailey, London, and Abby James; brothers, Tracy Minton and wife, Edna, and Tommy Minton; and sister, Kathy M. Bryant and husband, Wayne.
The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Smith Funeral & Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gerald Minton, 213 Belvedere Dr., Greenville, NC 27834, to be put in trust for David’s children’s college fund.
