Gwendolyn Inez Roland Swift, 59, a native of Aurora and a resident of 139 Buckskin Dr., New Bern, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Vidant Medical Center. A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s AME Zion Church, 617 Queen St., New Bern, with the Rev. Helen Jennette officiating and the Rev. Donald Crooms, Eulogist. Burial will follow in New Bern Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the residence. Viewing hours are from noon until 6 p.m. Friday at Oscar’s Mortuary, New Bern.
